Do you think it´s worth giving a second chance & needed development time to make dreams come true for Young English players while adding The Spanish Way to English Grit as what @nextstarsnet is doing?

Your comment is not exactly related to the podcast, but I’ll respond anyhow: Essentially, I think that is what we are already seeing unfold before us, not necessarily the “Spanish Way” but a more thorough technical education combined with intense athletic abilities.

Dan said “um” 217 times, and “you know” another 54 times, he’ll work on it.

Dan posed the question whether Ricky Lambert would leave Southampton, well, just a few weeks ago he signed another contract with the Saints through 2016, he will probably retire as a Saint. Regarding the scoring record, at the beginning of the year, he had been the highest scorer in 3 of last 4 campaigns in participated in (League One, and Championship).

Matthew Le Tissier was the famous Southampton scorer we could not remember.

Dan incorrectly included Frank Lampard as a player to only play for one club. Super Frank started his career at West Ham and also had loan spell at Swansea (although I’m not sure where loans fall in the equation).

Dan was in doubt of the Arsenal vs Reading Capital One Cup tie, he was correct 7-5.

Dan claimed Abou Diaby is a still in his early twenties, wrong, he is 26, not necessarily old, but missing out on his prime.

There was doubt regarding Nacho Monreal’s injury worries. Although he was subbed out after hitting the post with his knee, he was involved in training all week, and will be an option for Wenger this weekend. In the same token, Jack Wilshere was also seen running at training.

Dave was in doubt of where Dires Mertens played, claiming Ajax. Mertens plays for PSV Eindhoven.

Slightly technical fact check, Countinho has started in 5 games, but has made 6 appearances in the league for Liverpool. His transfer fee was 8.5M GBP, cheap for a star, but not so cheap if he ends up a bust.

Norwich City injury worries, Surman is injured, and is out for the remainder of the season.

Dan and Dave joked about the large number of QPR player transfers, but here are some interesting details: Rangers signed transfered in 17 players (exluding acadamy graduates) with national ties to 12 different countries.

Dan had the correct gist of what Zlatan had said to the Italian report, but the way Zlatan said it was much more….Zlatan, “Come to my house and you’ll see if I’m gay. And bring your sister.”

Unprepared moment of the podcast, home field for Real Madrid and Galatasary Champions League tie was the Bernabeu in Madrid.
